Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Making disciples is something we are passionate about at Mount Carmel. Being missional is one of the many ways we engage a lost and dying world with the good news of Jesus. As Jesus commanded the disciples in Acts 1:7, we seek to be on mission in our own Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Therefore, we support local missions, missions in North America, and international missions through the ministries of Mount Carmel.

Local Missions

As part of our missional impact on our city, we come together twice a month to serve free hot meals to anyone who is hungry as part of our "Feed My Lambs" ministry. We have been faithfully meeting physical and spiritual needs through this ministry for over four years. Additionally, we seek to pray with and for anyone with spiritual needs, hand out Bibles twice a year, blankets in the winter and socks in the fall to help those who need it most.

International Missionaries

We support the ministries of these two international missionary families by praying for them regularly, providing financial support, and by sending short-term missionary teams to come alongside them in their work.

Alen and Lila Kercmar

Alen and Lila (Rebeka, Benjamin and Jakob) are serving with the Lutheran church in Slovenia. They are involved in teaching and pastoral care within the church in Murska Sobota, Slovenia.

Alen also serves as the Chair of the Slovenian International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) and is also involved in church development in the Evangelical Church of Maribor.  Lila works with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), reaching out to children and their families in the north-eastern part of Slovenia.

They want to see people coming to know Jesus Christ and carrying His name, by the power of the Holy Spirit as witnesses to people and even nations around them.

John and Mollie Wells

God has called John and Mollie to serve Him among an unreached people group in Malawi, Africa! The Yao struggle with extreme poverty, famine, and high HIV rates, but these problems will not affect them eternally. The Yao are 99% Muslim. The Lord has given us a love for these people and a passion to introduce them to the One True God who loves them, the God who can give them a hope and a future!

Join the mission

Serve the Kingdom on our 2024 mission trip to Slovenia.

Each year we send a team of short-term missionaries to Slovenia to serve at children's and student camps. If you are interested in supporting one of those teams in any way, we would love to hear from you.

Encourage our active missionary partners.

Write an encouragement, question, or prayer and we'll connect you via email.
