Small Groups

Begin your discipleship journey...

Most of Jesus's ministry was done in small groups. Our Home Groups @ MCBC are designed to create Christian community while growing in your knowledge and understanding of God's word. Most Home Groups meet weekly over dinner and then spend time gathered around someone's living room discussing Sunday's sermon.
The discussion is facilitated by asking three questions: What? So what? Do what? What is the meaning of the text or what is the point of the text? So, what is the broad application of the text in our culture? What are you going to do with it, or if the Holy Spirit has used God's word to speak into your life, what do you need to do with that?
D-Groups are designed to stimulate transformational spiritual development in small groups of 3-5 people. Participation in D-Groups requires only three things:
1.) Be a professing follower of Jesus Christ.
2.) Commit to meeting weekly for 12 months.
3.) Have a desire to dive deeper into God's word to grow in your knowledge and understanding of the Lord with like-minded people.
EQUIP is our deep discipleship for the church. We offer classes for the Fall and Spring semester where we dive deeper into all things Jesus. Our areas of focus are Biblical Interpretation and Understanding, Christian Beliefs and Doctrines, and Spiritual Disciplines. These classes are open to anyone, but we typically do not recommend them for those who are new to Bible study or church. Our desire is to help “EQUIP” the saints for ministry through deep discipleship in the church.
