Wednesday Nights
MCBC Students is a place for 6th–12th graders to grow in their relationship with Christ and build a strong community of faith. We meet every Wednesday at 6:00 PM to dive into God’s Word, worship together, and encourage one another in our walk with Jesus. Our goal is to create a space where students can deepen their faith, form meaningful friendships, and live out God’s love in their daily lives. Join us—we’d love to grow with you!

Common Ground
Before our main gathering, students are invited to Common Ground, a relaxed hangout time from 5:00–5:50 PM. Students are encouraged to come and hang out and build community with each other prior to the service.

Current Series: The Book of Haggai

OVERVIEW:
The book of Haggai is a short but powerful prophetic message to God’s people who had returned from exile in Babylon. Though they began rebuilding the temple, they soon became distracted by personal comfort and discouragement. Through Haggai, God calls His people to rebuild His house, refocus their priorities, and trust His presence and promises for restoration.
IMPORTANCE OF OLD TESTAMENT CONTEXT - TO JESUS.
Haggai’s message is deeply rooted in Israel’s covenant relationship with God. The prophet’s words echo themes from the Law and the Prophets; obedience, covenant blessing, and the presence of God among His people. References to the temple, drought, and blessing connect Haggai’s audience back to Deuteronomy and Exodus, reminding them that God’s faithfulness remains the same. The rebuilding of the temple points forward to the coming of Christ, the true dwelling place of God with humanity (John 1:14).
MAIN TAKEAWAY:
Haggai calls us to rebuild what matters most: God’s work in and through His people. It reminds us to refocus our lives on God’s kingdom rather than our own comfort, and to trust that restoration comes through His presence. Just as God was with His people as they rebuilt the temple, He is with us today as we build our lives and churches on Christ.

As a church, our mission is to help people discover Jesus, grow as His disciples, and be deployed for His mission. That vision doesn’t begin in adulthood—it starts at home. We believe parents are the primary disciplers of their children, and our role as a church is to come alongside you with encouragement, resources, and intentional pathways for spiritual growth.
From the nursery to graduation and beyond, we want to partner with you in helping your children discover the gospel, be discipled in the way of Jesus, and be deployed into the world as faithful followers of Christ. Through our Family Discipleship Milestones, we intentionally walk with you at each stage of your child’s life, ensuring that your family is never alone in the journey of faith.
