JESUS: America's Hope

This series, adapted from a study put out by Love Worth Finding Ministries w/ Adrian Rogers, could not be more timely. As Christians, how do we know the right way to engage in the political process, teach our children, and live as citizens of this country while not forsaking the eternal citizenship we have in heaven? The following is the introduction to the study from pg. 6 of the study guide.

"America is on a crash course with destruction and judgment, and for most of us, staying out of the way might feel like the safest option. Many of us cannot bear to read or watch the news because

nothing seems hopeful or uplifting. We cringe when we hear of another scandal in the public sphere or another law that goes against what we believe.

But our hope is not in Washington, and as Bible-believing Christians, we need to find out which candidates or platforms line up with the Word of God, and then line up with that. As Christians, we need to be able to tell both parties to repent. We need to pray and be politically involved. But our hope is in Heaven, not in Washington D.C. God has sent revival in the darkest of days before, and God is the One who can bring revival to this nation.

America needs healing from the inside out by the light of the truth of the Gospel. We must learn how to repent, fast, and pray with the desire for revival. Instead of being intimidated, we must learn how to become involved and positively influence the direction and leadership of our nation. In the process, we become beacons of light that will point others to Jesus Christ. He is the hope who can heal all our hearts and this beloved country.
