God Calls Abram

From time to time, God unexpectedly calls us to something that makes us very uncomfortable. What do you do in those times? Do you shrink back in fear or do you lean on the promises of God in faith? The book of Hebrews tells us that Abraham obeyed God when He called him. Likewise, Genesis tells us that Abraham believed the promises of God and it was counted to him as righteousness.

In much the same way, when we place our faith in the promises of God through Jesus, who is the founder and perfecter of our faith, the righteousness of Jesus is imputed to us. What has God called you to? Have you placed your faith in the person and the work of Jesus and obediently followed God with your life?
